A game opposition who certainly made the lads work hard for their spoils. A ropey first 10 minutes as we shook off the Christmas break saw us go behind and then trade goals until half time as we struggled to take care of the ball. But we came out second half and took better control of the game and the ball, letting our class tell in the final third. Hitting the woodwork 3 times, it could’ve been a couple more but satisfying to take care of business in the end. A brace for talisman Belly, a tidy finish from a set play from Ollie Jones, Charles and Jonny finishing up nice moves and skipper Kev getting on the end of a knock down saw us (fairly) comfortably take it home in the end. Onwards and upwards! |
